What is sound page?

Sound page: A sound page is the dedicated feed that collects every video using a specific audio track or original sound. On TikTok, tapping the spinning record at the bottom of a video opens it, showing how many videos use that sound and letting viewers scroll through them all — which makes trending sounds a discovery path in their own right.

Why the sound page is free discovery

When you use a sound, your video becomes eligible to appear on that sound's page. If the audio is climbing, curious viewers open the page to see what others made with it — and yours sits in that grid. Using a trending sound early, before it's saturated, gives you a window where the sound page is active but not yet flooded with competing videos. It won't carry a weak video, but on a strong one it's an extra doorway in alongside the For You feed.

How to use it

  • Catch sounds on the way up, not at the peak — early adopters get more sound-page real estate before the grid saturates.
  • Post your own original sound: if a video takes off, others may use your audio, and every one of those videos links back to your sound page and profile.
  • Match the sound to your content honestly — forcing a trending track onto an unrelated video reads as noise and hurts retention.
  • Save promising sounds when you spot them so you can build a video around one before it tops out.

Common misconception: any trending sound guarantees a boost. The sound page is a discovery surface, not a distribution engine. A saturated sound with millions of videos buries yours instantly, and a mismatched sound can drag completion down more than the exposure helps.
