Why do my TikToks get 0 views?
Short answer: Zero views usually means your video is stuck under review, flagged for a community-guideline or copyright issue, or your account is shadow-limited. A brand-new post can also show 0 for a few minutes while TikTok processes it. If it stays at 0 for hours, something is blocking distribution, not the algorithm judging quality.
The most common causes
- Under review. New posts, and posts from newer accounts, sometimes sit in a review queue. The video shows 0 until it clears. This can take minutes to a day.
- Community-guideline flag. Content, caption, or even background audio that trips a moderation filter can get a video quietly suppressed. Check if the post says "under review" or if reach is limited in your analytics.
- Copyrighted or muted audio. If TikTok flags the sound, the video may be held back or shown to almost no one.
- Account-level limits. A recent strike, spammy behavior, mass-following, or banned-hashtag use can dampen your whole account's reach for a stretch.
- Genuinely brand-new post. Give it 30-60 minutes before assuming anything is wrong.
How to diagnose and fix it
Start by ruling out the boring explanation: wait an hour and refresh. If it's still 0, open the video and look for an "under review" label or a notification about guidelines. Check whether every recent video is at 0 (an account-level problem) or just this one (a post-level flag).
- Delete and repost only as a last resort — and never repeatedly, which looks spammy. Try it once if a single video is clearly stuck.
- Remove risky elements: banned or spammy hashtags, third-party watermarks (TikTok deprioritizes reposted content with other platforms' logos), and flagged audio.
- Post fresh, original content from the app for a week to rebuild trust signals if the whole account is limited.
- If you suspect a wrongful flag, use TikTok's in-app appeal option on the affected video.
Watermarks from other apps are an underrated cause. Videos exported with a TikTok, CapCut, or Instagram watermark often get throttled. Export clean, or process natively. Zero views is almost always a distribution block, not a quality verdict — fix the block first.
